We all can see the impacts of disproportionate rents, high business rates and the lack of funding on our town centre. This is why I am working with the Government to help to deliver a balanced economic recovery to ensure that our businesses have every opportunity to thrive, whilst addressing the key issues on our high street that are negatively impacting our local businesses. Constituents can let me know what they would like to see change in our town centre, by completing my Town Centre Regeneration Survey.
James has been using his position as Member of Parliament to help support businesses across the town centre to receive support throughout the Coronavirus pandemic, and is now aiming to help deliver the correct use of funding through the Levelling Up Fund across our high streets. He is currently working to help reduce the volume of empty shops across Leigh, help push forward plans to deliver a regeneration to Leigh Market and has been pushing to work alongside local businesses to ensure that the needs of Leigh's businesses and consumers are heard at the local Government level.
