Continuing to crack down on anti-social behaviour and criminal activity across the Leigh constituency remains vital. From the nuisance caused by groups of young people to serious drug, theft and violent crime, criminal behaviour affects everyone in our area. That is why I am dedicated to working with local residents, Greater Manchester Police and the local authority across the constituency to target crime in our area at the grassroots, offering help and support to residents who are the victims of this activity. With the recent increase in police officers and the introduction of tougher sentences, now is the time for public safety and order to be restored on our streets.
In a series of public meetings, police consultations and surveys, James has been dedicating his time and resources to dealing with crime across the constituency. Public meetings across the area were organised by James, both face-to-face and virtually, to ensure that resident's voices were heard. James continues to liaise with senior local police to ensure the voice of local residents are taken into account.
